Job Description
Tumas Group is currently seeking to recruit an Accounting Executive to provide assistance in financial management and control activities.
Main responsibilities include:
- Prepare management accounts.
- Assist in annual budget preparation.
- Compile tax returns and VAT returns.
- Updating the fixed asset register.
- Prepare reports to management and regulatory bodies as and when required.
- Work in line with policies and procedures.
- Foster relationships with other departments regarding financial matters.
- Prepare appropriate financial documentation to support internal auditing and assist external auditors in responding to their queries promptly.
- Assist in the interpretation and recommendations arising from internal audits and the year-end audit.
Requirements:
- A qualified Accountant or in the final stages of qualification, with a minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role.
- Abreast of financial management and reporting best practices.
- Well-versed with MS Office, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English.
- Able to deliver accurate and timely information consistently.
- A high degree of integrity and ability to work effectively in a team.
