Job Description

Seifert Systems Ltd is a manufacturing subsidiary of a German family-owned company. The Maltese plant manufactures, sells and distributes thermal, ventilation, illumination, and dehumidification equipment for the industry across the globe. With its over 30-year presence in Malta, the company employs over 300 employees.

The Operations Manager’s responsibilities cover all production activities starting from manufacturing (sheet metal processing), electrical preparation, electronics manufacturing, plastic injection and assembly, besides the production of various accessories and a supporting Tool Shop.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the selected candidate’s duties include:

  • Managing calendars, appointments, travel arrangements, and expenses.
  • Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Conducting research, compiling data, and providing information as required.
  • Handling phone calls, emails, and other enquiries as and when required.
  • Organizing and maintaining files, records, and databases as required.
  • Running errands and performing personal tasks as needed
  • Coordinating with other colleagues, customers, suppliers, and external parties
  • Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Operations team through active support of all activities

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and most importantly, be a team player.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • A keen eye for detail, organised and accurate.
  • The ability to work with limited supervision, and adaptable to new reporting or work practices.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with strong communication skills.

Qualifications skills and experience required:

  • High attention to discretion to maintain confidentiality.
  • Accounts at A’ level standard, as a minimum.
  • Good command of the English Language, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of German Language and / or other languages would be considered an asset.
  • Previous work experience in a Manufacturing Accounts department and basic knowledge of Oracle Business Suite will be considered an asset.
