The Role
Forming part of the Product Testing team within the Quality Assurance department, the Electronics Line Technician’s main responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to Production and other departments in troubleshooting electronic issues, including carrying out fault analysis of internal failed units as well as client returns.
- Training and mentoring Junior Technicians and testing operators.
- Collecting and analysing first-pass yield data and liaising with Engineering and Production departments to drive improvements and corrective actions to reach the assigned first-pass yield targets.
Skills, Education and Experience Required
- A Technical qualification at a diploma level or equivalent combination of education and experience (EQF level 4 or higher.)
- At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate well in English.
- Personal qualities of drive, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
