Glow is a leading architectural lighting company offering an array of top-quality lighting products.
We are looking for a new Electrical Technician / Installer to assist the company with small installations of light fittings and give technical backup. There is also the opportunity to assist the sales team with the application of lighting tenders and lighting control options which we offer.
Job Specification:
- To install various types of light fittings on small projects or give back up to client’s installers.
- To assist the sales team with technical backup and advice regarding drivers, transformers, RGB, tuneable lighting setups and other technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
- To be involved in the sale and implementation of switches and smart or intelligent lighting systems.
- To assist with deliveries of light products and give installation assistance.
- To help manage projects undertaken by the company.
- To manage or assist in creating proposals on lighting tenders, private and public.
- Helping generally within the company to enhance a smooth operation.
Requested Attributes:
- A basic electrical background is essential, an electrical licence or qualifications would be favourable.
- Other installation experience or working skills would also be beneficial.
- Being computer technical or having experience in IT would also be favourable.
- Being able to oversee multiple projects at the same time.
- Having a driving licence is essential, a van will be provided.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Being a team player and a person who gets things done.
- Having worked in sales or installations of any kind of electrical goods or service.
Wage Structure
The wage will vary according to the experience and capability of the person. If capable of getting involved in the sales of any kind, smart switches, intelligent lighting systems and other control-related systems a commission or performance bonus will be offered.
Training on light fittings, intelligent lighting and other items supplied by the company will be provided.
