For our Meeting Point Hotels Malta team, we are currently looking for a Food and Beverage Manager, based in Malta, Mellieha to support and lead the Food and Beverage department in day–to–day operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs and oversees all aspects of Food and Beverage departments for a smooth operational flow that meets the guests’ expectations;
  • Engineering of Menus for all Outlets including costings and pricing of items together with the responsibility of inserting items in the MICROS system;
  • Responsible for Food and Beverage department inventories on a monthly basis;
  • Development and maintenance of the Food and Beverage department control procedures;
  • Address food and service complaints and inquiries in a timely fashion and on the same business day;
  • Compiling competitive analysis constantly by conducting market research and collecting data for further analysis;
  • Ensuring that the procurement of items for the Food and Beverage departments is carried out in a timely fashion and according to the company SOPs;
  • Taking on additional tasks when it comes to Food and Beverage on a global scale within the Group (part of the global Food and Beverage committee);
  • Controlling food costs in particular and also in charge of all food and beverage costs and P&L;
  • Develop new events locally as well as on an international scale, by devising new concepts to be backed up with data and SOPs.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as Food and Beverage Manager or similar role;
  • Dynamic and possess a high initiative without the need to be supervised;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools especially Excel;
  • High customer service orientation;
  • Be a team player by demonstrating an enthusiastic and positive approach; develop talents and coach through constant presence in the operation;
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills resulting in outstanding communication, teamwork, flexibility and cohesiveness with all peers;
  • Be able to demonstrate a consistent level of commitment by being fully engaged with the job role.
