Job Description

Laferla is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive  to join our team, handling business development and administration of group health, group life and voluntary occupational pension schemes offered by Laferla.

The ideal candidate will have experience in investment-based insurance products (savings and pensions) or in financial markets, bringing a good understanding of financial markets which is necessary to explain investment-based products to individual and corporate clients.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Head Office in Valletta, and remuneration is salary-based with a competitive salary being offered.

Responsibilities

  • Actively developing new business on group health, group life and voluntary occupational pension schemes.
  • Administration and ongoing management of group life and occupational pension schemes – from onboarding clients to managing member changes and handling renewal processes.
  • Being a point of reference to prospective and existing clients, group members and intermediaries, maintaining excellent customer care service standards.
  • Processing individual pension plans, savings plans and single premium investment plans (on a non-advisory basis), including understanding client demands and needs and presenting the right products accordingly.

What we’re looking for in a candidate

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese.
  • Good soft skills including relationship building and focusing on customer experience.
  • Previous experience with IBIPs or financial markets.
  • A tertiary level of education.
  • A good team player with the ability to establish excellent internal and external relationships with colleagues, clients and intermediaries.
  • Highly proficient in IT and digital tools.
  • The drive to engage in developing business.
