Citadel Insurance p.l.c. is currently seeking to engage a Motor Claims Handler to join our team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that claims processing follows the Underwriting and Claims Policy, Limits of Authority, Risk Appetite and tolerance limits set by management;
- Take a proactive approach to chase after the required documentation to be able to process the claim including but not limited to the acceptance of liability from third-party insurers / individuals up to your limits of authority or as directed by the Company;
- Ensure that the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and company guidelines;
- Report any complaints associated with a claim to management;
- Keep abreast of all the motor policies, its terms and conditions, especially for those sections related to benefit conditions and excesses;
- Demonstrate understanding of client needs / expectations;
- Effectively prioritise workload to client expected service satisfaction;
- Assist management to ensure that processes are continually improved and that procedures and practices relating to the activities and functions of the Claims department are adhered to.
Skill-sets and requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills;
- A positive attitude and strongly motivated;
- Well organised and IT proficient.
Education and experience:
- Possess an Insurance qualification;
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Maltese;
- Experience in the motor car industry will be considered an asset;
- A remuneration package, including benefits, will be awarded in accordance with the individual’s qualifications and experience.
