The Gollcher Group is at the forefront of the Ship Agency, Maritime and Logistics industry in Malta. As a leading marine surveying organisation, we are regularly requested by international and local clients to carry out cargo surveys on their behalf.
We are looking for a candidate to join our Marine Surveying department. Training will involve both on-the-job guidance and professionally structured courses.
The Role:
- Attending to survey of cargoes onboard vessels, in port areas as well as in land warehouses.
- Following up with the writing of a survey report and the collation of various shipping and insurance-related documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Fluency in both English and Maltese.
- Good educational background.
- Prior experience working with shipping / freight forwarding / insurance companies or sea-going career would be considered an asset.
- As the role involves claim discussions and negotiation, applicants should have good communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with the team.
