Job Description

AIM Enterprises Ltd, Malta`s leading supplier and service provider for the automation industry, and currently looking to recruit a Field Technician on a full-time basis.

AIM Enterprises Ltd is looking for a proactive candidate, who is extremely meticulous and has a positive can-do attitude for problem-solving and technical challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for call-out servicing requests on industrial machinery (both electrical and mechanical queries). This entails onsite repairs, maintenance and installations achieved through comprehending customer requirements, diagnosis of errors, test tasks and performing the appropriate recommendations.  
  • Attend to all client enquires in relation to compressed air systems; this includes designing, quoting and installing compressors and compressed air installations whilst tying workflow to schedule to ensure that we remain within budget. 
  • Responsible for servicing and / or repairing our client`s industrial compressors, as well as updating internal records and contacting clients in a timely manner to coordinate appointments. 
  • Responsible for Technical Assistants both onsite as well as their overall tasks. 
  • Cooperating with the rest of the teams by sharing information across the organisation and updating shared folders and other software tools. 
  • Documenting jobs and projects by producing timely and detailed service reports, job sheets, onsite documentation, as well as abiding by companies’ internal documentation processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced diploma in Manufacturing or Industrial Electronics or similar certification.
  • Electrical licences A and B.
  • Driving licence category B.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing or automation industry.
  • Proven experience in operating tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
