Job Description
The 1926 Collection is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Senior Technician / Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Assisting in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
- Maintaining and operating equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
- Supporting in the management of an effective room maintenance program.
- Ensuring compliance with all Maintenance departmental policies, standards and procedures.
- Assisting with purchasing and ordering new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
- Inspecting and evaluating the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
- Recommending or arranging for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
- Supervising the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department.
Skill-sets and Requirements:
- Ideally three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in a hotel environment will be considered an asset.
- In possession of a clean driving license (Category B).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet competing demands.
- Must be accurate, precise, thorough and give attention to detail.
- Good leadership skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and excellent teamwork skills.
- Currently living and working in Malta.
Education and Experience:
- Local electrical license A and B.
- Familiarity with the latest HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).
