Job Description
Corinthia St. George’s Bay is looking for an ambitious, determined and highly motivated individual who is seeking to embark on a career in hospitality. In this position you will form part of the hotel Maintenance and Engineering team reporting to the Director of Engineering – working closely with the Technical Leader and the rest of the team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of the hotel. This role requires someone who is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, air-conditioning unit upkeep and general building maintenance.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address any issues or potential hazards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Troubleshoot equipment and machinery to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the field.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and co-workers.
