The Housekeeping Supervisor at The NEU Collective oversees all duties performed by the Housekeeping team while developing strategies to enhance departmental functionality. They demonstrate excellent management skills to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign tasks to staff, inspect completed work, and uphold housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain records of work assignments and prepare routine reports daily.
  • Organize and manage the work schedule of the Housekeeping team.
  • Distribute cleaning supplies and equipment to the team as required.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supply of work materials.
  • Investigate and address guest complaints related to housekeeping matters.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in emergencies or staff shortages.
  • Demonstrate calm and professionalism in all situations.
  • Understand safety procedures and roles in emergency situations.
  • Ensure team members comply with health, safety, fire prevention, and hygiene regulations.

The potential candidate will ideally possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Proven housekeeping or hospitality experience.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work with no supervision while meeting high–performance standards.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent command of English. Other languages would be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is required.
  • Must be able to work shift duties, including evenings, weekends, and / or holidays
