Job Description

Established in 1993, SR Services Ltd is a family-run business that has grown in one of Malta’s leading suppliers of construction, industrial and recycling plants, and equipment with a large portfolio of prestigious international brands, which it represents. Following a recent expansion, we are presently looking for a reliable Technical Sales Executive.  The ideal candidate will be competent in working with little supervision, self-motivated and trustworthy.

As a Technical Sales Executive, you will be at the forefront of promoting and selling cutting-edge machinery and equipment for construction and heavy industries. Your role involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. You will also be responsible for product demonstrations, creating proposals, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the General Manager, within a company that supplies heavy plant machinery and construction equipment, the responsibilities of the technical sales executive will include:

  • Sourcing potential new customers: Identifying and reaching out to potential clients who may benefit from the company’s machinery and equipment
  • Maintaining regular contact with existing customers: Ensuring strong relationships with current clients and addressing their needs
  • Product demonstrations: Visiting customer locations to showcase the technical features and benefits of the machinery and equipment
  • Advising on technology upgrades: Providing guidance to customers regarding technology upgrades and related products
  • Creating tender documents and proposals: Preparing tender documents and proposals for potential projects
  • Generating purchase orders and sales receipts: Managing the sales process from order placement to transaction completion
  • Attending product training courses and seminars: Staying informed about the latest developments in heavy machinery and construction equipment
  • Meeting sales targets: Achieving sales goals set by the company

To excel in this role, a technical sales executive should possess:

Education requirements:

  • A diploma (MQF Level 5) in Engineering / Electrical / Mechanical / Plant / Business with 3 years of experience in sales

Nice to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in sales
  • Experience in using CRM systems
  • Experience in conducting sales in construction equipment and / or heavy machinery will be considered as an asset
