Job Description

We are seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to join our team and provide technical assistance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the field of IT support. As a Junior IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, and providing technical support both remotely and on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Configure and install workstations with in-house software applications and peripherals for users.
  • Understand, configure, and troubleshoot in-house software applications.
  • Maintenance and repair of IT hardware equipment as well as live casino equipment.
  • Assist in performing viral maintenance and clean-up on the in-house hardware.
  • Provide additional IT support to users across all company departments.
  • Assist in the installation of new cabling, termination, and testing of cables.
  • Install and calibrate audio / visual equipment.
  • Manage all technical IT issues within live studios.
  • Monitor the delivery of live streams from the live casino and / or studio to the encoding servers.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding all essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Computer Science or advanced certification in an IT-related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player mentality with ambition and motivation.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Required to be part of a 24/7 roster.

Person Specification (skills; knowledge; experience; attitude):

  • Excellent problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of gaming would be considered an asset, but it is not necessary.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and independent computer user.
  • Flexible approach to work, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with other team members.
