Job Description

The Regulator is an equal opportunity employer and is seeking to recruit an Analyst (Regulation and EU Affairs).

The Analyst is responsible for the provision of technical advice and expertise within the unit. The Analyst will report to the officer responsible for the Regulation and EU Affairs, or to any other officer as may be designated by the Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the regulation of the energy and water sector including monitoring and / or enforcement of regulatory measures related to authorisations and permits granted by the Regulator;
  • To provide technical advice and expertise on issues related to the relative Unit;
  • To perform administrative work and supervise personnel that are assigned to a project / assignment that s/he is responsible for;
  • To participate in the execution of any of the Regulator’s functions as required, in so far as compatible with the post and qualifications of the Analyst.

Candidates must:
The selected candidate must be in possession of a relevant university degree (MQF Level 6) duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) in any of the following fields:

  • Law
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Sciences
  • Economics

Be proficient in the use of widely available software packages; and

Have the ability to communicate in the Maltese and English languages; and

Have the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Salary: €31,556 – €36,043 + other allowances.
