AIS Environment Ltd is looking to bring on board an energetic and confident professional to join our team of local experts who handle large-scale projects of national importance in Malta.

As an Environmental Monitor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining the highest standards of environmental protection throughout the construction process.

What will you do?

  • Maintaining a regular on-site presence during construction activities to monitor and assess environmental impacts
  • Ensuring that all construction works adhere to permit conditions, environmental regulations and other specifications
  • Writing descriptive reports on-site observations, capturing photographic evidence, preparing emails and monitoring reports
  • Conducting fieldwork for baseline surveys, collecting environmental data, such as air and water quality, noise levels etc
  • Providing guidance and support to stakeholders, promoting best environmental practices
  • Ensuring execution of projects within the set objectives of delivery and quality

Here is what you need to excel in this post:

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Earth Systems, Environmental Science or similar
  • Being an outdoor person in good physical health
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of environmental regulations, legislation, and best practices
  • Valid driving licence – must have
  • Previous experience in environmental monitoring or a related field, knowledge of GIS is an advantage
