Job Description

The primary role of the Head of Process Engineering is to support production divisions through analysis and engineering optimization-related projects to improve cost, quality and time-related performance. Such production optimization activities may be related but not limited to quality management and standardization, productivity, profitability, safety, lead-time reduction, and production rate increases.

Process Engineering support responsibilities will include the following:

  • Identify and collaborate with other parties within the company with the scope of identifying key issues and areas requiring action so as to achieve desired improvements in the company’s production operations.
  • Coordinate and wherever necessary execute technical and industrial engineering-related process evaluation and improvement projects throughout the company.
  • These may involve both new and existing process developments.
  • Coordinate and directly perform analyses on the operational activities in terms of process improvement targets, with a focus on maximizing added value.
  • Manage, coordinate and directly address the implementation of such projects, particularly from a technical viewpoint, within the required budgets and timeframes, ensuring that finalized projects can be handed over directly to the respective production departments to operate as well as to the maintenance department for maintenance management.
  • Contribute towards defining production standards and procedures to ensure stable production activities with better controls on process deviation risks.
  • Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentoring and training to ensure the team’s success and professional growth.
  • Coordinate and liaise with other departments in order to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrate experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly methods, machining, fabrication and automation.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
