Job Description
We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and report to the Senior Procurement Officer.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a good relationship with all vendors.
- Responsible for creating and sending orders to vendors.
- Responsible for following up with vendors and chasing for order confirmation and estimated time of arrival.
- Responsible for always maintaining and updating the system.
- Responsible for sourcing and negotiating the best terms and prices possible.
- Responsible for meeting departmental and individual targets set.
- Liaise and assist various departments within the company.
- Liaise with vendors to get various documentation required, such as delivery notes, packing lists, invoices, certifications etc.
- Ensure that products and materials are being ordered correctly, and according to the organisation’s demand, while ensuring adequate inventory level is maintained.
- Responsible for complying, and analysing data gathered from the system and acting according to the outcome of the data.
- Responsible for issuing reports and maintaining them.
- Assist in stock and asset inventory.
- Assist with supplier agreements.
- Responsible for leading, understand, and follow all company standard operational procedures.
- Understand and follow the group’s Human Resources (HR) policies and procedures.
- Understand and comply with the group’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies.
- Understand and comply with the group’s site surveillance guidelines.
- Understand and comply with the group’s quality management system.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within the same industry and with an ERP system will be considered an asset.
- Any course / qualification certificates related to procurement and supply chain will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of an A’ level standard of education.
- Minimum requirement of 2 years experience in logistics commercial environments such as supply chain, procurement, and / or import operation.
- Must have an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Excellent command of the English language; other languages would be an asset.
- Good organisational skills, and time management.
- Goal-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Able to work under pressure.
