Job Description

We are on the lookout for a sharp and career-ambitious team player to join our busy team on a full-time basis. The selected candidate will assist in the warehouse operations and upkeep.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving and inspecting all incoming products, ensuring that the products correspond with the invoice in terms of batch number, expiry, and quantity and that all packs are sealed. Responsible also for ensuring that goods received are received from an approved supplier.
  • Counting and documenting the quantity of each item received.
  • Storing products according to their required storage conditions, and in their designated storage area such as: cold-room; relabelling area; medicines area; controlled / dangerous drugs area.
  • Proper handling of medicinal products whilst storing or moving products around.
  • Ensuring that all goods within the warehouse are scanned and labelled accordingly using coloured tags for easy status identification.
  • Ensuring that stores are cleaned on a regular basis and maintaining the warehouse and store area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Ensuring that orders are double-checked as per SOP against the invoice.
  • Ensuring that cold-chain product orders are assembled at the last minute before delivery as per SOP and that the correct packing of cooler bags is performed.
  • Completing the appropriate sheet for orders being delivered to Gozo by courier.
  • Accompanying personnel who are not authorised to enter the stores unsupervised and ensuring that warehouse doors are closed immediately after stock transfer has been made.
  • Ensuring appropriate stock rotation so that the system of ‘First Expired First Out’ is executed.
  • Performing regular stock takes.
  • Aiding during a recall.
  • Using the stacker with caution, always ensuring that no other personnel are in the way.
  • Wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety boots and a hard hat when operating the stacker, as well as ensuring that the stacker is not used in the picking area.
  • Informing the RP of any damages or suspected falsified / counterfeit medicines.
