We are seeking to recruit a full-time Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the selected candidate will be supervising the smooth running of all warehouse operations and processes and will be performing other hands-on operational functions within the warehouse as required.
Duties will include:
- Monitoring incoming and outgoing stock and reconciling with the data storage system;
- Checking loading of company vans and ensuring that they are despatched from the warehouse on time;
- Training warehouse personnel with regard to new techniques;
- Planning ahead regarding the creation of storage space to ensure efficient space utilization;
- Monitoring the upkeeping of a clean environment in the warehouse;
- Adhering to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements;
- Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security;
- Reporting any discrepancies in stock to the Warehouse Manager;
- Assisting in the regular production of reports and statistics.
Interested candidates must:
- Have previous working experience as an Assistant Warehouse Manager or a similar role;
- Be an energetic, motivated and enthusiastic individual;
- Possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills;
- Be a team player and a quick problem solver;
- Be flexible and able to meet daily unforeseen work challenges;
- Have a hands-on approach;
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Be able to operate a forklifter.
