MaltaPost plc is seeking to recruit a dedicated full-time, Head, Health and Safety to join our management team. The successful applicant will play the leading role in promoting a culture of health and safety throughout the Company.
Job details:
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Health and Safety is tasked with the following duties:
- Conduct risk assessments associated with work activities, work sites, tools and equipment;
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections of processes and facilities in line with regulatory and policy compliance;
- Develop and conduct training programs on health and safety awareness;
- Monitor, investigate and report incidents;
- Co-ordinate emergency response drills and be a key member of the Incident Response team;
- Consult with the Health and Safety Authorities and other stakeholders (internal and external) on any day-to-day health and safety issues that may occur;
- Keep abreast of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and ensure that the Company is fully compliant.
Qualifications, skills and knowledge required for the role:
- The chosen candidate needs to be mature, proactive and with strong observation and analytical skills;
- Possess good written and oral communication skills to create and deliver reports, presentations and training materials;
- S/He must be fluent in the Maltese and English language;
- The chosen candidate should possess a NEBOSH diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (or equivalent) or a degree in Health and Safety or equivalent;
- Have good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Candidates should be conversant with all MS Office applications.
