Due to expansion, we require for immediate employment, an Electrical Technician.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, automation, and instrumentation equipment.
- Analyse and diagnose processes and make suitable recommendations.
- Monitor maintenance of alarms on SCADA.
- Perform troubleshooting using appropriate testing devices for gathering and analysing data.
- Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Prepare reports, maintain records and requisition orders.
- Maintain an adequate level of spare parts.
- Manage and inspect work done by external vendors.
Requirements
- Degree and / or diploma from a technical college or Wireman license A and B.
- Electrical and / or Mechanical Engineering experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Detailed knowledge of instrumentation, PLC automation software and coding languages.
- Strong measurement abilities and analysis skills to quickly and accurately calibrate, monitor, test, and repair equipment.
- Troubleshooting skills to determine the reasons why measurements and test results are not within the expected range.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Communication and organizational skills.
