The role
We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems infrastructure for our clients. This includes servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a client-facing role.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be
- Collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and requirements.
- Designing and implementing systems infrastructure solutions tailored to meet client objectives.
- Configuring and deploying servers, storage, networking equipment, and virtualization technologies.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implementing security best practices to protect client systems and data from potential threats.
- Providing technical support and assistance to clients as needed.
- Developing and maintaining documentation for client systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Staying current with industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement improvements for clients.
Who you are
This role calls for someone who holds the following:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
