Job Description

The Hotel Operative plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of various functions within the Front Office department. This position encompasses reception duties, food and drink service, as well as Porter’s responsibilities. The Hotel Operative is expected to maintain high standards of customer service, exhibit adaptability across different tasks and contribute to the overall efficiency and guest satisfaction of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist them with their luggage
  • Provide attentive and friendly service to the guests by providing information about hotel facilities
  • Respond to guest requests for assistance promptly and effectively, both at the reception area and at the executive lounge
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
  • Assist at the executive lounge by serving food and drinks, clearing tables and ensuring cleanliness and orderliness within the lounge
  • Handle phone calls, emails, restaurant bookings and other tasks as indicated by the Supervisor or Front Office Manager

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Previous work experience in hospitality or customer service roles
