Job Description
We are currently seeking a Bartender to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Receiving beverage orders from service staff and from guests at the bar, and dispensing drinks as requested
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and neatness in the bar area
- Promoting customer satisfaction through high standards of efficiency and courtesy
- Responsible for the cash float and for the correct charging for drinks sold
- Ensuring minimal loss through breakage, waste and theft
- Assisting with stock-taking
- Responsible for the safekeeping of bar stocks
- Adhering strictly to the provisions and regulations applicable to the sale of alcoholic beverages
- Assisting the Bars Manager to devise and implement procedures, ensuring that all team members are aware of these
- Ensuring that all team members’ performance is up to standard
- Comply with all company policies of the Grand Hotel Excelsior
- Comply with all systems and procedures as laid down by the General Manager, Director of Operations and F&B Manager
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
- Participate in health and safety training and have complete and up-to-date knowledge of Hotel emergency and evacuation procedures

- Training team members on new procedures
