Job Description

The company is expanding its operations to meet the demands of its growing product lines and customer base. As a result, we are looking for a Motor Underwriting Officer to join our Motor Underwriting department, operating from both its Head Office and various branches.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with customers (face-to-face, via email, and over the phone).
  • Responding to queries and explaining products and services to clients.
  • Obtaining, handling, and processing of customer documentation.
  • Issuing of motor quotations, policies, and renewals.
  • General office duties.
  • Branch support.

Education and experience:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the local insurance industry.
  • Possession of an insurance-related qualification or currently pursuing a related certification is considered an asset.

Skills:

  • Sense of responsibility, accountability, and ownership.
  • Ability to handle various customer types.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Maltese.
