We currently have a vacancy for the position of a Medical Device Specialist, on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will manage a series of tasks and procedures as a member of the medical promotion and operations team and will possess the following skills and competencies.
- Suitably qualified as a Nurse with experience in the Operating Theatre.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A natural aptitude for interacting with clients, and the ability to problem solve together with clients and other stakeholders.
- A well-developed business acumen, with a keen eye for business opportunities and business development
- Intrinsically motivated, and able to work under his/her own initiative with flexible timelines.
- A clean driving license.
- Good IT skills in standard software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Tasks performed on a daily basis will include the following.
- Meeting with clients and stakeholders to share product information as required
- Following up on product implementation and use with clients and stakeholders.
- Participating in clinical procedures as an observer and a trainer.
- Supporting clinical teams in their work in the OR and in the use of the products forming part of the product portfolio.
- Support as required in the preparation of sales quotes, and tender submissions.
- Work towards meeting internal and external sales and performance targets.
- Develop and maintain the skills and background knowledge required to become a knowledge repository.
- Follow internal and external training programs as required.
- Maintain fruitful and productive communication with suppliers.
- Assist and support colleagues in their respective work functions to ensure that the whole team is as productive and efficient as possible.
