Role
Cavalieri Art Hotel is looking to recruit a Senior Chef Tournant (A la Carte) to join our kitchen brigade and to assist the Executive Chef and the Sous Chef in the day-to-day kitchen operations

We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a professional environment, where high standards, attention to detail and exceptional quality are of utmost importance. The selected candidate must be a team player, have a positive attitude towards guests’ satisfaction, and possess the right flair and creativity. Related experience, preferably in a four or five-star environment, will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities:                                                                             

  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Follow the guidance of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef and give input in new ways of presentation or dishes
  • Responsibility for our a la carte section
  • Put effort into optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues
  • HACCP

Qualifications and Assets:

  • At least 2 years experience working in a similar position
  • Work experience in a la carte
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Culinary school diploma
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Must speak good Maltese and English
