Job Description
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Maintenance Technician with CaterEssence Ltd., the job entails maintaining the day-to-day operations and assuming responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
- Work within expense limits established.
- Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
- Schedule and complete the preventative maintenance program.
- Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
- Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.
- Coordinate and complete groundwork as directed by the Executive Chairman for the general upkeep of The Landmark.
- Responsible for alerting the Executive Chairman of any unusual occurrence and / or damage that has taken place or that may occur.
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all contractors, and fellow employees.
- Ensure that the Landmark Motor Vehicle Fleet is maintained through regular checks.
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
- Maintain an up-to-date daily report of maintenance activities carried out – particularly extraordinary repairs / servicing.
- Carry out research for local / foreign suppliers for any parts / goods / materials which may be required.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
Any other duties which may crop up from time to time which are linked to the duties mentioned above.
The ideal candidate should
- A relevant technical qualification.
- Electrical licence B
- Experience in a similar role.
- Good communication skills.
- A can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Computer literate.
