Job Description
We are currently seeking a Demand Planning Manager to join our team.
As a Demand Planning Manager at Bluerock operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our demand forecasting processes. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement robust demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and meet customer demand effectively.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement demand planning strategies to accurately forecast customer demand for products within our stores.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to gather relevant data and insights for demand forecasting, including historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities.
- Utilize demand planning software and tools to analyse data and generate accurate demand forecasts for various product categories and SKUs.
- Monitor and analyze demand forecast accuracy, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with stock teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and inventory levels, optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing excess inventory.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders to share demand forecasts, insights, and recommendations.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to review demand forecasts, address potential supply constraints, and develop action plans to meet demand requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in demand planning or forecasting within a retail or consumer goods environment, with a strong understanding of demand planning processes and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
