Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Storekeeper. This role will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving and storing goods, and ensuring the smooth operation of our stores.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Properly store goods in designated locations, ensuring efficient use of space
- Maintain inventory records, including stock levels, and update as needed
- Prepare and package goods for deliveries, ensuring proper labelling and documentation
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts to reconcile discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage facility
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfil internal requests for goods and supplies
- Keep the storage facility clean and organized, following proper storage and handling procedures
- Prepare reports on stock levels, inventory movement, and any issues or concerns
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a storekeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects where required
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to storage and handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
