Job Description

The 1926 Collection will be launching a new, elegant establishment offering a fine dining experience to our esteemed guests and patrons. Available positions include: Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.

Duties include food preparation, recipe development, and ensuring that all dishes are cooked to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Assisting in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for various dishes according to outlined recipes and standards.
  • Executing cooking tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of food items.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standards.
  • Monitoring portion and waste control.
  • Ensuring that quality standards are upheld at all times.

The potential candidate will ideally possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in food preparation in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
  • Positive and approachable manner.
  • Team player qualities.
  • A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field will be considered an asset.
