Job Description
Strand Electronics Ltd. are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with a background in the electronics industry. The position is to carry out installations, commissioning of systems, diagnose and repair faults that may arise on various fire and security solutions. The selected candidate is required to be able to work on his/her own initiative with minimal supervision.
Desired qualities and qualifications:
- Preferably with Wiremen license A or MQF / EQF level 5 in ELV / Electronics maintenance, repairs and installations or equivalent
- Valid Maltese driving license
- Able to work and understand drawings, schematics and designs
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in extra low voltage field work
- Clean police conduct
- Commissioning of high-level projects
- Handling of callouts
- On-call service
- Preventive maintenance
- Communicate with the technical and operations manager to provide daily reports
- Professional knowledge of Windows applications and other operating systems
- Prepare any required reports and documentation related to projects
- Good communication skills with the manager and with teammates
- English speaking is a must and a plus if Maltese speaking too
- Valid Maltese working permit to be available in hand
Previous experience in this sector will be considered an asset and ongoing training will be provided.
