Residency Malta Agency is the Government entity responsible for managing and promoting three residency programmes for non-EU nationals – the Malta Permanent Residence Programme, the Nomad Residence Permit and the Malta Startup Residence Programme. All applications undergo a rigorous due diligence process to ensure that only fit-and-proper individuals and families are granted residency.

The Agency is seeking to fill a new post of a Senior Administrative Officer within the IT department. Reporting to the respective Manager.

The Senior Administrative Officer – IT will:

  • Provide 1st line technical support to internal staff via various channels (IT service helpdesk, phone, email, in-person);
  • Manage and track support requests using a ticketing system;
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues;
  • Monitor, setup, configure and maintain IT equipment;
  • Handle the on-boarding and off-boarding of computer users;
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings;
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers and vendors when required;
  • Generate reports using the Agency’s software;
  • Collaborate with the IT team to maintain and improve the IT infrastructure;
  • Assist in the management of IT inventory, including tracking hardware and software licenses;
  • Assist in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of IT projects;
  • Perform any other duties according to the exigencies of the Agency.

Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite of products is preferred for this role.

The eligible candidate must

  • Be in possession of an advanced diploma at MQF Level 4 (with a minimum of 120 ECTS / ECVETS or equivalent) in Computing and / or ICT with two (2) years’ work experience; Or
  • Be in possession of a diploma at MQF Level 3 (with a minimum of 60 ECTS / ECVETS or equivalent) in Computing and / or ICT with four (4) years’ work experience;
  • Have proven work experience in an IT environment;
  • Be fluent in written and spoken Maltese and English;
  • Be highly motivated and have effective problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Be meticulous, with excellent attention to detail;
  • Be a self-motivated, highly driven and proactive individual;
  • Be able to work on your own initiative as well as in a team.
