Proxy Live Solutions™ is on a journey of building new games and gaming platforms, that are allowing high-load and is supporting thousands of players concurrently playing our games and using our products.

At the same time offering a great player experience via a custom-built platform, being resilient, reactive and message-driven, utilizing event sourcing and CQRS.

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to work within a high-performance finance team during a period of transformation. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for various tasks with a view to organising and controlling multiple operations in the Group Finance department which oversees finance operations in multiple jurisdictions of operations.

Job Functions

  • To act as custodian of financial processes and procedures ensuring that they are efficient and effective.
  • To identify, develop and maintain efficient and effective systems that provide timely and accurate cost reporting in accordance with Group policy and accounting standards.
  • To forecast short- and long-term profit / loss and capital requirements.
  • To actively manage cash flow within the business.
  • To measure the company’s performance against financial plans.
  • To display the Proxy Live Solutions values and behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Payable process to ensure supplier payments are made within the terms and the needs of the business.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable process and team to ensure customer payments are made within terms or issues escalated in a timely manner.
  • Manage the Payroll process and timely submission of returns to fiscal authorities.
  • Prepare cash flows in accordance with the Group timetable understanding variances from the plan and identifying the actions needed to manage cash flow in line with the needs of the business.
  • Ensure all regulatory and statutory returns are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure the intercompany process is managed with invoicing completed accurately and on time in line with Group policy with mismatches resolved within Group time limits.
  • Act as the main liaison with local banks in each jurisdiction of operation. Bank reconciliations are undertaken and reviewed with the appropriate people and the Finance Director.
  • Act as co-pilot for operational managers, preparing KPI dashboard and analysis for review.
  • Working with other departments across PLS to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare budget and forecast information in line with the company timetable understanding equipment and labor resource requirements, cost base and financial variances to plan.
  • Prepare new job costs for approval in line with the governance process.
  • Assistance in the preparation of the annual financial statements and liaise with auditors.
  • Ad-hoc project support to the Finance Director.
  • Undertake cost centre spend reviews with departmental managers and the appropriate people leaders to review headcount needs, labour and overhead spending.
  • Report to the Finance Director any analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variances thereto.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Finance department and to its role as custodian.
  • Support the behaviour of working as One PLS, sharing best practices and collaborating with colleagues outside of their own sphere of business.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (Master in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Experience in payroll, accounts payable and tax compliance required.
  • An ability to organize large amounts of information into a coherent and meaningful format while working on multiple prospects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. Proficiency in other Microsoft Office products is a plus.
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures.
