Job Description
Our client Prominent Fluid Controls Ltd. is currently seeking to recruit a Production Line Process Engineer to join their team.
The chosen applicant will be:
- Supporting the Production department in process development and maintenance as well as seeking ways of achieving process optimisation;
- Evaluating and analysing process workflows and organisation in order to define improvement proposals;
- Designing solutions for process improvements in line with clearly established objectives;
- Being directly involved in building, testing and commissioning such solutions and the subsequent impact assessment of such process improvement solutions; and,
- Taking responsibility for process documentation and the corresponding maintenance of such documentation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An MQF level 6 in Engineering;
- Experience in design and building small user-oriented automated equipment, in a manufacturing environment;
- Knowledge of process mapping, time study techniques and similar industrial engineering analytical tools;
- Experience with CAD software (ideally Autodesk inventor or Pro/Engineer);
- Experience in a LEAN production environment;
- Background with local health and safety standards and regulations, which will be considered an asset; and,
- Excellent reading and writing communication skills in English.
S/he is expected to work both independently and as part of a team, depending on the nature of undertaken projects. This role being mainly project-based, requires the Process Engineer to self-start and work on his/her own initiative in line with clearly set objectives, ensuring delegated work is scheduled and completed on time.
