Our firm, is a small to medium operation which offers a broad range of services including accounting services, audit and assurance taxation, corporate services, payroll services and VAT submissions and compliance.
The Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a semi-qualified or qualified person to carry out Audits of small to medium clients which form part of the firm’s portfolio of clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing audit and financial reporting services to different entities operating within various industries.
- Ensuring that all audits are carried out according to deadline.
- Liaising on a daily basis with the owner / auditor of the firm.
- Apply International Standards on auditing through practical application, ensuring compliance with best practice.
- Assist in client meetings in the pre-audit stage and discuss the audit work done during the final review.
Required skills and attributes:
- Possess an appropriate combination of technical expertise in fields such as auditing, accounting, finance and technology.
- Good communication skills and level of English.
- Sound working knowledge of MS Excel software.
- Experience using QuickBooks and XERO accounting software packages would be beneficial.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Accurate with work and highly attentive to detail.
- Good problem solver and quick to learn.
- Knowledgeable in IFRSs and GAPSME, and ISAs.
Academic and experience:
- Currently pursuing the ACCA qualification, ideally having already obtained the Diploma from ACCA, or recently qualified; or holding an Accounting / Finance degree from a recognised university.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an audit and accounts position.
