MITA is seeking to employ a Legal Advisor within the Finance and Contracts department. S/he will provide guidance, advice and assistance to the Agency on legal, regulatory and procedural matters, particularly in the areas of procurement and contracting (and other matters such as commercial law, IT law, intellectual property law, and competition law amongst others), and represent the Agency in appeals, disputes and other legal proceedings.
The Legal Advisor will also be actively contributing to the drafting of contracting documentation, and participate in procurement and contracting processes. S/he shall ensure that the Agency’s procurement and contractual policies and procedures are formulated, implemented and adhered to.
The Advisor shall also provide consultancy to MITA and its clients on tender and contract drafting, preparation, adjudication and contract negotiation for IT-related procurement.
Eligible candidates must have obtained a warrant to practice Law in Malta, in accordance with Article 81 of the Code of Organization and Civil Procedure (Cap. 12) and 5 years of experience in the legal area, three of which must be in the career path leading to a Lawyer / Legal Advisor and / or as a practising Lawyer / Legal Advisor.
