Merkur eSolutions Malta is a recent project connecting the stationary and online gaming worlds. As a full subsidiary of the MERKUR GROUP, it brings together a number of areas of the gaming world in a first-class omnichannel proposition. In Malta, we offer a variety of services to our B2B entities as well as B2C entities that activate within the German market.
We are currently on the lookout for an Accounting Assistant (m/f/d) to join our offices in Sliema, Malta to assist in our external as well as internal activities.
Responsibilities:
- As Accounting Assistant (m/f/d), you will assist in preparing the monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
- You will assist in preparing various annual tax and quarterly VAT returns.
- You will be interacting with both vendors and customers, completing payment runs, calculating sales invoices and monitoring receivable amounts.
- Furthermore, you will support colleagues in both B2B and B2C financial accounting as well as the local and international management ensuring group standards and improving and further developing financial accounting processes.
- Additionally, you will ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines as well as carry out projects and special tasks.
- Also, you will be responsible for ad-hoc reports and queries to the CEO and international partners.
Qualifications:
- A qualification or working towards a qualification in Finance or Accounting.
- Hands-on approach and eye for detail in FinTech or iGaming.
- Basic Understanding of Maltese tax and VAT.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, German language is a plus.
- Demonstrate good business acumen and understanding of KPI reporting.
- Accurate and efficient.
- Possess problem-solving and analytical thinking.
