Job Description

The Junior IT Support Officer will be stationed in our employee helpdesk, serving as our first point of contact for technical issues. This customer service-focused role is responsible for the day-to-day support of our laptops, desktops, AV equipment, and software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administrate the office IT infrastructure. (hardware, OS, Server and products).
  • Maintaining, repairing, and upgrading network and computer systems.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and performance reporting of all aspects of IT systems including hardware, Software, and third-party tools.
  • Able to create procedures and other IT-related documentation and keep them updated.
  • Maintain contact between the businesses and third-party suppliers for support and routine maintenance.
  • First line of support with employees in various departments for IT support and IT-related queries
  • Planning new IT-related projects and ensuring both office and product business requirements are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring data integrity and keeping strict adherence to data security and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all IT systems comply with legal requirements.
  • Custody of business accounts and data.
  • Any other tasks from time to time may be allocated.

Requirements

  • Minimum higher education / Advanced diploma in IT field equivalent.
  • In possession of an industry-led certificate such as COMPTIA, Cisco, Microsoft.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in related IT field.

Knowledge / Experience

  • Microsoft technologies: Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 products, Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS Azure, MS Intune.
  • Linux Servers especially CentOS and Ubuntu.
  • Google Workspace and Google applications such as Postmaster, Analytics, Looker and GSC.
  • LAN / WAN.
  • Handling of Domains, DNS and Protection tools.
  • Cisco and Cisco Meraki technologies.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and partners locally and remotely.
  • Strong communication and alignment skills in a multi-language work environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in current web and mobile developments and trends.
