Job Description

We are a business consultancy cooperating with a boutique law firm and an authorised corporate service provider in Malta. Focusing on international, mainly German-speaking clients, our core practise areas are corporate business advice, support of company formations and maintenance, international tax, residency and relocation services, gaming and gaming affiliate projects, bank account opening and advisory, accounting and tax services as well as investor relations and supporting real estate projects for clients.

To efficiently support our Managing Director and our small team, we are looking for a committed person with sound accounting experience, having excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient bookkeeping and preparatory accounting for internal and client companies using our Xero software (e.g., request invoices or expenses from clients, download monthly bank statements for each client company, handle online and physical filing; provide further administrative support)
  • Settle and pay internal purchase invoices or expenses and issue proof of payments
  • Secure regular bank reconciliations
  • Handle our invoicing system, coordinating with the Corporate Manager and Managing Director
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with payroll for internal and client companies
  • Assist with bank account opening processes
  • Support our Accounting Manager and the Managing Director in relation to transaction monitoring

Requirements

  • Minimum A’ level in Accounts or equivalent
  • Strong bookkeeping / accounting background, a minimum of 2 years of work experience in Malta
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are mandatory
  • Sound knowledge of office software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and of accounting software, experience with Xero would be ideal but not mandatory
  • Ability to work on own initiative, but highly team-oriented with clear and open communication
  • Be committed to constantly securing the necessary follow-up in all bookkeeping / accounting matters
  • Be a loyal and trustworthy person striving to become an efficient and synergetic member of our team
  • Have a proactive professional attitude

Basics

  • Salary: €18,000 – €20,000
