Due to the expansion of our operations, we require for immediate employment a Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company functions in a legal and ethical manner while meeting its business goals. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks. He / she is responsible for overseeing an organization’s compliance with government laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program
  • Develop and review company policies
  • Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations
  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
  • Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses
  • Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk
  • Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
  • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
  • Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
  • Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
  • Communicate with employees and make sure everyone is aware of what they need to do to comply with internal and external laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Familiarity with GDPR and national data protection laws
  • Must have exceptional leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, English
  • Qualifications in the following subjects are regarded as advantageous: Business Studies, Law, Auditing, or Financial
