John Ripard & Son (Shipping) Limited is the official shipping agent for MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world’s largest container shipping line.

We are now seeking to recruit a: Junior Accounts Executive.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified person with an ambition to make a career in finance and administration within the Shipping and Maritime sector.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Checking of data and documents for correct entry and postings.
  • Organize and maintain all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and invoices, and accounting statements according to Company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
  • Creditor and debtor control.
  • General accounting.
  • Assistance in the preparation of accounting up to trial balance.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum A’ level in Accounts or equivalent.
  • Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality.
  • Be meticulous and pay attention to details.
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Training will be provided to the right candidate.
