Job Description

IELS Malta is a leading English language school operating within the tourism and education industry for over 35 years, operating all year round providing tuition and accommodation to students from all over the world.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to be responsible for the recruitment and management of Host Families including all aspects of administration duties related to this department.

This role includes various duties (but not limited to):

  • Proactively manage host families, and recruit new ones to meet the demand;
  • Managing host family capacities in the system for all Agents and Direct Clients;
  • Build relationships with Host Families ensuring they feel part of the team;
  • Conduct regular Host Family visits and spot checks to ensure that standards are met;
  • Monitor welfare questionnaires to ensure a high level of service is being delivered by Host Families to our customers;
  • Coordinating all advertising pertaining to recruitment of new Host Families (flyers etc.);
  • Acting as a mediator between Host Families and students in case any problems and misunderstandings arise;
  • Coordinating allocation of students in Host Families and any changes, including but not limited to, moving students from one family to another in case of complaints and various problems, ensuring that agents’ / direct clients’ accommodation requests are met;
  • Liaising and coordinating with other departments (Reservations, Transport, Welfare, Sales) to ensure high-end service is delivered to the customers, including but not limited to, following up on flight details, sharing preferences, special diets etc.

Qualification, traits and attitude:

  • Possesses excellent organizational skills, is reliable and can work within a team and on own initiative;
  • Have good communication skills (written, and verbal);
  • The ideal candidate will have a pleasant disposition and have previous similar experience in a hospitality environment.
