Job Description

Highbet is an online gambling establishment, a place for casino fans around Europe looking for the chance to win money and have fun at the same time. Launched in 2021, HighBet offers players more than 1000 games to choose from, including video slots, live casino games, scratch cards, and sports betting.

We are now looking for a self-driven Lawyer with igaming experience to help take our business to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice in various areas such as corporate, data protection, employment and intellectual property law;
  • Identifying any legal issues, provide analysis of legal risks, create and implement solutions to achieve business objectives efficiently
  • Working in close collaboration with stakeholders within the business, such as the finance department, C-level management and external counsels;
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with suppliers;
  • Supporting regulatory licensing applications;
  • Creating, implementing, and enforcing operational policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements and take ownership in conducting corporate KYC;
  • Process and track legal work and record and monitor deadlines;
  • Researching and evaluating different risks to the business.

Your experience:

  • At least 2-3 years’ post-qualification experience as a Corporate Lawyer within the iGaming industry;
  • Experience providing legal advice in the igaming industry;
  • Experience with licensing within the gaming industry;
  • Qualified warranted Lawyer (Law degree / LLM from a reputable European University) and relevant experience in a legal profession;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organisation with good command of English;
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach;
  • Be of the utmost integrity;
  • Ability to adopt a commercial approach and to understand the operations of the business;
  • Good knowledge of corporate and commercial law. Knowledge of employment law will be considered a plus.
