Job Description

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse to join our team.

Purpose of the role
To assist the Head of Quality with clinical audits, developing policies and procedures, promoting quality in healthcare services and implementing improvement projects to ensure consistent and good-quality delivery of service. 

The role includes onsite audits at various entities, monitoring and following up on company procedures that affect the quality of service delivery. The successful candidate will be expected to analyse data from audits, communicate and provide feedback or training as required. 

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Quality. 

Tasks, duties and responsibilities

  • Performing clinical audits and observation rounds across various client entities based on standardised tools provided by the Quality department;
  • Analysing and reporting accurate findings to the Head of Quality and coordinating with team and supervisory staff to correct deficiencies;
  • assist in the investigation of clinical complaints and incidents; 
  • Assist in the implementation of improvement procedures;
  • Assist in staff training, workshops and refresher training of personnel when non-conformities or deviations are noted during inspections;
  • Assisting in induction and orientation of clinical personnel across all entities;
  • Assisting the Head of Quality with the revision, development, communication and implementation of group policies and procedures;
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation;
  • Ensure policies and procedures are successfully maintained to maintain a good quality of service;
  • Adhere to company policies and protocols.

Skills and competencies

  • MQF 5 or higher in Nursing and registration with the Council for Nurses and Midwives (Malta) as a State Registered Nurse;
  • Good work ethic and attention to detail;
  • Conscious of workplace confidentiality principles;
  • Good communication skills in Maltese and/or English;
  • Exercise good control, coordination and communication with other employees;
  • Basic knowledge of working with computers;
  • Previous job experience in a similar role and/or in a health and social care background is considered an asset.
