Job Description

Job overview and essential functions:

  • The Accounts Clerk will be responsible to keep client invoicing up to date and assist the accounts section.

Some essential duties include but are not restricted to:

  • Invoicing clients according to client list.
  • Inputting cheque stabs and checking their postings.
  • Posting of transactions related to prepaid invoices.
  • Deposits: preparation, posting, allocating and issuing receipts.
  • Posting incoming bank payments.
  • Responsible for fiscal receipt books.
  • Posting allocating and receipts for debtor’s cash payments and sending monthly reports internally.
  • Filing ready documentation, and working in set systems.
  • The employee is expected to be flexible where emergencies and office workload pressures demand cooperation.
  • Any other admin / accounting tasks which may be delegated in the absence of the related office personnel. All the duties and responsibilities are to be carried out with total loyalty to the company, and in the interest of the company.
  • The accounts clerk is required to demonstrate confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Maltese and English.
  • A’ level required in Accounts, Maths and English.
  • Knowledge of the SAGE accounting system would be considered an asset however training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Willing to work in a constantly busy and changing environment.
  • A good team player and good phone communication skills.
  • Preferably one year of working experience.
