The Foundation for Medical Services is seeking to recruit Partly Qualified Accountants to join its team.
Scope of work and responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts;
- Managing the fixed assets register;
- Managing the system of health accounts return;
- Preparation of ad hoc reports as requested by management;
- Managing internal control assignments;
- Assisting the Financial Controller in the management of staff and the functions falling under the responsibility of the Finance department;
- Carry out expense analysis as requested by management;
- Preparation of monthly financial returns for review of the Financial Controller;
- Prepare monthly analysis of consumption patterns, payroll variations and cost variance analysis;
- Contribute to the management of the internal control environment;
- Prepare the external audit file and assist in the execution of the external audit;
- Manage information systems that integrate with the financial package;
- Managing tendering and procurement processes and procedures;
- Issuing payroll reports;
- Analysing, checking and reconciliation payroll reports;
- Organising and planning payroll activities;
- Auditing of payroll processes and activities;
- Review SOPs;
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Employer.
Job criteria:
- In possession of Bachelor’s degree or a relevant and related qualification at MQF Level 6 in Accounting and a minimum of 2 years’ working experience in an accounting role. Or;
- In possession of a diploma or a relevant and related qualification at MQF Level 5 in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years’ working experience in an accounting role. Or;
- In possession of a diploma or a relevant and related qualification at MQF Level 4 in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in an accounting role. And;
- Experience and knowledge of Accounts databases / software.
Other prerequisites (assessed during interview):
- Have excellent communication skills;
- Be a fast learner who can keep calm under pressure;
- Have strong organizational skills required to work well both individually and as part of a team;
- Methodical, analytical and organized;
- Able to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines;
- A high level of computer literacy, especially in the use of Excel Office Automation tools.
Type of contract and salary range:
- Contract Type: Indefinite with a probationary period of 12 months;
- Salary range: €34,000 – €39,000 + performance bonus.
