How you will make an impact
As a Crane’s Plant and Facilities Technician, you will have total ownership of the reliability of our state-of-the-art heating, ventilation, air-conditioning systems, plant, and equipment. You will be expected to improve existing preventive and predictive maintenance programs whilst demonstrating advanced diagnostic skills and carrying out necessary repairs efficiently to minimize unplanned downtime. As a Crane’s Plant and Facilities Technician, you are expected to work on electrical, electronics, PLC and mechanical systems including the periodic backup and restores of software.

Knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:

  • Required:
    • Qualified Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics Technician preferably with an MCAST-BTec Higher National diploma / HTD focused on plant and equipment.
    • Ideally, F gas certified.
    • Possess license A&B qualification.
    • Have at least 5 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Preferred:
    • Be conversant with chilled water air-cooled systems, reverse osmosis and related equipment.
    • Have good knowledge of microprocessor controllers and building management systems.
    • Be skilful at diagnosing and quickly repairing a variety of electro-mechanical systems.
    • Exhibit a positive attitude and initiative.
    • Be an effective team player but also work on his/her own with minimal supervision.
    • Must have motivation and interpersonal skills.
