Job Description

Corinthia Caterers Ltd is a leading company within the catering industry offering clients a premium catering experience.  Due to the current organic growth, we are looking to recruit a Cost Controller in its Finance and Administration department.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Regularly compiling data reports pertaining to the cost of materials, stock levels, inventory turnover, and any potential issues.
  • Investigation of food and beverage cost variances against budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure that accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock items are maintained.
  • Spot checks upon receiving and posting of invoices.
  • Perform stock-take and spot checks in various outlets.
  • Analysis of stock variances from physical inventory cycle counts and stock-takes. 
  • Liaising with Auditors during their audit process with particular attention to inventory matters.
  • Closing of consumption report on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor food and beverage waste and develop strategies to minimise it.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reports that may be requested by management.  

Requirements:

  • An Advanced level standard of education in Accounts or an Advanced diploma in Accounting.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills in both Maltese and English.
  • Able to work extra hours during peak periods.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
