Job Description
Corinthia Caterers Ltd is a leading company within the catering industry offering clients a premium catering experience. Due to the current organic growth, we are looking to recruit a Cost Controller in its Finance and Administration department.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Regularly compiling data reports pertaining to the cost of materials, stock levels, inventory turnover, and any potential issues.
- Investigation of food and beverage cost variances against budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure that accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock items are maintained.
- Spot checks upon receiving and posting of invoices.
- Perform stock-take and spot checks in various outlets.
- Analysis of stock variances from physical inventory cycle counts and stock-takes.
- Liaising with Auditors during their audit process with particular attention to inventory matters.
- Closing of consumption report on a monthly basis.
- Monitor food and beverage waste and develop strategies to minimise it.
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports that may be requested by management.
Requirements:
- An Advanced level standard of education in Accounts or an Advanced diploma in Accounting.
- Strong speaking and writing skills in both Maltese and English.
- Able to work extra hours during peak periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
